When the American Film Institute (AFI) released its list of 100 Greatest Films, people all over the country were talking. Several people didn't understand why certain choices were made. There was almost a fury about it, with people pointing fingers of the Institute being too "high brow" or "elitest." To me, what makes a great film is a film you want to see over and over again. It doesn't matter how simple or complex the film. So, the following represents my top ten list of favorite films.
1. Gilda (1946)
Okay...okay...it's really difficult to pick just 10 films (and, if you notice, my "Top 10" is really "11" films). There are actually several films that I really love that I couldn't include. So, I'm listing them here. Again, these are some personal favorites based on what I like to watch.
