Bendos

According to the Bendos Web site, "The Bendos have arrived, bringing their own strange twist to the category of action figures. They're all bendable, posable and palm-sized portable. And they all do their own thing, from XT the alien to Stretch the bungee jumper to Sparky the firefighter. One hot collectible and one cool toy." Basically, what I think it means is that their bendable action figures with a collectibles scheme similar to Beanies. Each one seems to be dated with a birth and issue date. I found them when I happened to be going into McWhorter's, a stationery and office supply store near me, to buy some calendar pages for my day planner. I happened to see this whole series of bendy toys and my first reaction was to see if they had any Asian Pacific American ones. Sure enough, I found a Samurai. Apparently, there is a Ninja too.

Anyway, this is what I have:

Sam the Samurai Sam the Samurai
Series 2
2000, Kid Galaxy, Inc.
Individual Figure

Sam says, "I'm partial to the martial arts." The container says "Strong, confident, and tough, this warrior is no worrier." Corny, yes... but, I have to admit these bendy figures are kind of cute. The figure comes with removeable helmet and shield. His birth date is 9/29 (I'm assuming 1999) and his issue date is 1/1/00.

Wish List for Bendos
