Celebrity Bears are another take off of the Beanie Babies. It's actually a cute idea because the bears are designed to be various celebrities. They're named by a number and the goal is to guess which celebrity you have. Interestingly enough, an Asian Pacific American was one of the original twelve stars. While there haven't been any other since, with more and more APA stars popping up, who knows who might be next. Anyway, check it out:

Tiger Woods (Star #12) The Original Stars 1998, JC Bears, Inc. Individual Figure We had a family-type reunion the other day and a couple of people were watching a golf tournament on television. Tiger Woods won with blazing glory and I remembered that he was also Asian Pacific American. I found this little gem by going to AuctionWatch and looking to see if they had a Starting Lineup action figure for Tiger Woods. I didn't find the Starting Lineup figure, but I did find him. He's listed as "Star #12" and his special date is 1-20-98. Tiger Woods was born Eldrick Woods and is a world reknowned professional golfer who comes from a multi-ethnic background. He refers to his own ethnicity as "Cablinasian", an ethnic blend of Caucasian, Black, American Indian, and Asian. From 1994-1996, Woods received the U.S. Amateur Title. In 1996, he was named Sport's Illustrated Sportsman of the Year. In 1997, he won the Masters tournament, becoming not only the youngest person to receive the title at age 21, but the first person of ethnic minority to do so as well. That year, the Associated Press named him "1997 Male Athlete of the Year," the fifth golfer to receive this title since the award started in 1931. Woods has been sought after by companies to endorse their products, most notably the Nike corporation
