Gundam Wing is a hot new anime discovery here in the United States, made popular as part of the Cartoon Network's Toonami lineup. Unfortunately, I haven't really gotten into the show. So, while I know roughly what it's about, I'm no expert. What I do know is that it takes place in the future after human kind has begun to travel beyond the stars and colonize the galaxy. Unfortunately, the Earth Alliance and a group called "Oz" has been oppressing the people. So, I young group of multicultural colonists strike back in their giant mobile armor robots called Gundam.
When setting up this site, I had to decide whether giant robots would be included as an APA representation. Ultimately, I decided not to, feeling that it would degrade the integrity of what I'm trying to do here. The toys have pretty much been 3D representations of the robots in action figure or model form. But, with the PVC set below, perhaps they'll start making toys of the human pilots. And, if that happens, this page will grow...

Heero Yuy and Chang Wufei Gundam Wing Hero Collection 2000, Bandai Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Set that includes Duo Maxwell, Quarte Raberba Winner, Trowa Barton, Princess Relena and Zechs Meqrquise Two of the Gundam pilots are of Asian descent -- Heero Yuy, of Japanese descent, and Chang Wufei, of Chinese descent. Made up of PVC figures, the set is actually a very nice representation of the 2 dimensional versions. It features the two plus Duo Maxwell, Quarte Raberba Winner, Trowa Barton, Princess Relena and Zechs Meqrquise. Heero, from the L1 space colony cluster, is sort of the main character of the ensemble cast. He pilots Wing Gundam. Chang Weifu, said to be from a "legendary Chinese warrior clan", pilots the Shenlong Gundam.
