Headliners are another sports toy. They're not really action figures and are more like the Starting Lineup figures where their poses are static. These figures feature small bodies and very large heads and are sculpted in a more cartoony way. Most Headliners are modeled after sports heroes, and like other sports toys, there's usually an Asian Pacific American or two in the bunch.

Paul Kariya Hockey XL 1998, Corinthian Individual Figure I found a Paul Kariya fan site that speaks to Paul's performance on the ice, "Kariya may be the best skater in the NHL. He is so smooth and fluid his movements appear effortless. He's also explosive, with a good change of direction, and he can turn a defender inside out on a one-on-one rush. His speed is a weapon, since he forces defenders to play off him for fear of being burnt, and that opens the ice for his playmaking options. He combines his skating with no-look passes that are uncanny." This figure is from the XL collection and features Paul Kariya wearing his black Mighty Ducks uniform and has him posed in an action skating pose.

Paul Kariya Hockey XL - KB Toys Exclusive 1998, Corinthian Individual Figure Paul Kariya is perhaps the most represented Asian Pacific American athlete in toy form. This figure is a variation on the XL Headliner that features Paul Kariya wearing his black Mighty Ducks uniform. This KB Exclusive, of which only 7,200 were made, has Kariya in the same pose, but in an NHLPA uniform. The other difference from the original XL is that this Exclusive comes in a silverish gray package.

Paul Kariya Hat Trick Minature Headliners 1998/1999, Corinthian Comes in 3 pack with Eric Lindros and Jaromir Jagr If two XL Headliners weren't enough, here is another KB Exclusive that features Paul Kariya, Eric Lindros and Jaromir Jagr in a more minature form. This exclusive is one in 10,000 made of this series and features Kariya in his Mighty Ducks uniform.
