Kea

This has to be one of my favorite toys. Kea was created by an Asian-American mom who created both the dolls and the story. According to the coloring and paper doll book that comes with the dolls, Kea comes from a Chinese/Filipino/Hawaiian/Thai father and a third generation Japanese/Korean mother. So, she is able to celebrate her multicultural roots in the clothing she wears. The Kea doll line comes, so far, in either Korean Hanbok, Vietnamese Ao Dai, Satin Chinese Pant Suit, Japanese Happy Coat and Indian Sari.

Individual Doll in Korean Hanbok

This doll features Kea in her Korean Hanbok. She's soft and has a wonderfully stylized look that makes rag dolls so appealing. The colors of the dress are traditional and bright.
