Toddler toys are those toys meant for younger children that don't really fall into any other particular category. This category includes some other toys that might not necessarily be specifically for toddlers, such as Legos and Beanies. The mainstay is the Fisher Price line which has been wonderfully inclusive of Asian Pacific Americans, but there are other surprises, including an APA Weeble girl...

Toy lines relating to this category are:

FISHER PRICE
Fisher Price has been fairly inclusive of Asian Pacific Americans with one of their most popular modern Little People characters being Sonya Lee, an APA girl. What I've always liked about Sonya is that they don't market her as the "brainy" one. She is seen doing non-stereotypical things, such as training dogs in a cirus or being a veterinarian.

PLAYMOBIL
Playmobil is a Danish toy that has made its way to the United States. Similar to Fisher Price Little People, the toys come in a series of characters and play sets. Some of these are Asian Pacific American or Asian influenced.

PUZZLE PLACE
Puzzle Place was a popular show that ran for awhile on PBS featuring a group of multicultural puppets. I'm sad that this show didn't last because I thought it was a great educational show for kids who need to learn about differences. Julie Woo was the Asian Pacific American character on the show and has been featured in the show's toy lines.

LEGOS
Legos are the highly popular construction toys that allow you to build whatever settings you want to build depending on how many building blocks you have. Or, you can buy a set with pieces to build specific scenarios, one of which was built around ninjas and feudal Japan.

BENDOS
Found in smaller gift shops is a collectible toy of bendable figures called the "Bendos." The idea is to release characters and eventually retire them (like Beanie Babies). Some of these characters are Asian Pacific American.

WEEBLES
Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.... These egg shaped toys of the late 70s and early 80s and recreated in the 90s even featured an Asian Pacific American girl. Check it out...

GEOFFREY'S WORLD
Toys 'R Us's toy line aimed at infants and toddlers features a multi-ethnic cast...
